PM Guest Speaker Next Chamber of Commerce Forum
Hon. Gaston Browne, Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and Corporate Governance will be the featured guest at a Breakfast Forum hosted by the Antigua and Barbuda Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the IMF Western Hemisphere Department.
Prime Minister Browne will speak on the topic Policies and Plans for Stimulating the Local Economy.
The IMF will use the opportunity to launch its book Caribbean Renewal: Tackling Fiscal and Debt Challenges. Presenters: Adrienne Cheasty, Deputy Director, Western Hemisphere Department, IMF and Therese Turner-Jones, Country Representative for Jamaica, Inter American Development Bank.
Discussants: Dr. Isaac J. Newton, President – Paramount Communications and Ian Durant, Deputy Director, Economics Department of Caribbean Development Bank.
Topics will address the issues, identify some of the recommendations and offer some suggestions to improve the business and economic environment.
Time will be given for Questions and Answers. Guests will have the opportunity to meet and greet with editors/presenters of the IMF Books about the Eastern Caribbean, and if desired, copies of the books may be purchased on the spot at discounted prices.
