Antigua St John's - Antigua & Barbuda was recently the set for a live two-day remote radio broadcast on the 195 Morning Show in Danbury Connecticut as part of destination promotions in the US market.
Last Friday, the destination received four hours of continuous coverage via radio and social media, as award-winning morning show hosts Ethan Carey and Lou Milano broadcast from Piccolo’s Restaurant at St James’s Club. The duo’s Monday show, their largest show of the week, will also be broadcast from this scenic location on Monday.
The broadcasts wrap up a multimedia “I95 Listener Promotion” that began during the summer, featuring a trip giveaway and special four-night packages to Antigua & Barbuda that allowed 40 loyal listeners an opportunity to spend time with these popular personalities at St James's Club.
According to show host Ethan Carey, "This is the third Caribbean I95 Listener Promotion that I have hosted with Lou, to discover different destinations with our listeners, and I have to say that this has been the best.
The property, views, beaches, cuisine, and the people have been great, and this all makes for the perfect combination for a weekend getaway. Our past Listener Trips to St Lucia and Jamaica have also been very successful, with hundreds of listeners signing up and generating significant business for those islands before and after the broadcasts.”
US Tourism Director Derede Samuel Whitlock, whose team co-ordinated the promotional effort, thanked the I95 team, Minnuci Travel, St James’s Club, and American Airlines for their support and collaboration.
She said, “This exposure, with eight hours of air time, comes at a critical time as we gear up for what is expected to be a very competitive season. I95 is well-recognised throughout upper Westchester and western Connecticut, and we expect to see significant returns on this promotion.
The listeners are extremely excited about the destination and the chance to be a part of a select group. This is a winning promotional model for the entire destination that we intend to replicate throughout 2012.”

To create audio appeal, Friday’s broadcast featured several interviews, including a demonstration by Chef John Samuel and General Manager Alex de Brito at St James’s Club.
Local proprietor Valerie Hodge and Yachting Liaison Officer in the Ministry of Tourism Gerry Daniel discussed the history, attractions, and cultural appeal of the National Parks and the English Harbour area. Monday’s broadcast will feature more interviews and a performance by award-winning steel pan player Lacu Samuel.
Ethan Carey is synonymous with I-95 and has been rocking on the airwaves since February 1979. Known for his effervescent personality, he has anchored the I-95 Morning Show since 1990. Lou Milano has been with I95 for 10 years and brings his youthful exuberance and sarcastic observations on life to the show every morning.
I95 reaches over 2.5 million listeners in Putnam, Duchess, and Westchester counties in New York and several counties in western Connecticut.
This geographical area is grouped within the New York Tri-state area and is considered among the top 10 affluent communities in the United States.

Is this a legit show? i saw a young lady walk away with a $14,000.00 check and this has to be the easiest cash ever won.
By the way where do they find these participants? unbelievable! and the questions asked are questions every eight year old should know. There are four answers ABC&D with no cut off so one will eventually get the answer, no elimination hence the one at the bottom remain in the game to the end to win 50,000.00 and is this tax free? again is this legitimate?
