One local resort is combatting the economic crunch by targetting homegrown business. Rex Resorts has been promoting a Staycation programme targeting groups,associations and organisations, as well as families.
“We have had meetings with banks, social clubs and associations to encourage potential clients to come to Hawksbill or Halcyon Cove by rex resorts to spend some time,” said General Manager Richard Michelin.
He added, “We are cognisant of the challenges people are facing in travelling overseas for a vacation and we want to do something to give them a chance to still enjoy a bit of a break from their usual routine."
Various social and business organisations have taken advantage of Hawksbill’s Staycation packages so far. Our specials include an all-inclusive room package, island cruises with Treasure Island and day passes at discounted prices.
At the Halcyon Cove, the Warri Pier is opened on Friday for lunch there is also the option of having lunch on Tuesdays and Sundays.
