Antigua St. John’s – Leading contemporary artist and 2007 National Youth Award winner, Mark Brown has designed two new wedding packages for the Jolly Beach Resort & Spa.

The Classic and Tropical packages are targeting brides and grooms who want the glamour of a traditional wedding coupled with a beautiful destination beach setting.

Couples choosing a Mark Brown Wedding at Jolly Beach Resort & Spa are able to express their own personal style with the selection of a colour palette to set the stage for the design elements of the Classic and Tropical destination wedding themes.

The bride will march down a white-sand aisle accentuated with decorations encompassing their selection of visuals, including dressed shepherd hooks, tropical flowers, sea shells and lanterns. From a gazebo draped in sheer fabric with accents, the couples will say their vows while looking out on the blue seascape. Their guests will witness the ceremony from seating decorated in white with coordinating sashes.

“We are honoured to be collaborating with an artist of Mark Brown’s calibre on our new wedding packages,” said General Manager of Jolly Beach Resort & Spa, Vernon Jeffers. “His visual artistry, coupled with the bride and groom’s wishes, cast colourful spells on our beach wedding venue.”

The resort’s Hammock Lounge is the ultimate venue for the newlyweds’ beachside wedding reception. The bride’s and groom’s palette will highlight a décor of themed ceiling draping, sashed chairs and tablescapes with matching overlays and bold two-feet tall vases with fresh-cut tropical arrangements or avant-garde centerpieces.

“A wedding is a couple’s ultimate personal event, and I’m thrilled to be collaborating with Jolly Beach Resort & Spa to make couples’ dreams a reality,” Mark Brown said. “All of my work, in any medium, is inspired by light, colours, textures and lines and these in turn by my Antiguan heritage and living in the Caribbean, and I have brought all of these into my wedding designs for Jolly Beach Resort & Spa.”

The Mark Brown Tropical Package is inspired by the tropical Antiguan landscape. The one-tier wedding cake is decorated with tropical accents with the bouquet and matching boutonniere done in beautiful tropical flowers. The cost starts at US $2,700 for weddings of up to 50 guests.

The Mark Brown Classic Package, designed for couples hosting 50 to 100 guests, includes a consultation with the artist so that the bride’s and groom’s personal vision could be translated into the wedding decor on their special day. This package includes a thematically decorated two-tier wedding cake or cupcakes, a bridal bouquet and matching boutonniere in the palette of choice.

The package cost starts at US $3,500.00.



As with the resort’s Dream and Silver wedding packages, Mark Brown Weddings include the personal attention of the experienced wedding coordinator and wedding staff at Jolly Beach Resort & Spa, as well as some necessities: the cost of the marriage licence, original Marriage Certificate, legal fees, the marriage officer to perform the ceremony and witnesses, should they be needed. There are also some special gifts for the bride and groom beginning with a US $500 credit with a booking of six rooms with stays of seven nights (or a 12-night all-inclusive stay), a US $100 credit for the resort’s Palms Wellness Centre, Spa, Gym and Beauty Salon and a US $40 credit on an excursion.

The newlyweds also enjoy breakfast served in-room the morning after the ceremony, an intimate dinner served on the beach and for “just married” fun Jolly Beach Souvenir tees and mugs.
