Antigua St. John’s - It was an early 7am start for the 25 members of the Dolphin Swim Club and their open water enthusiastic friends.
This was the day that they were all going to test their speed, mental strength and endurance in the Dolphin’s Annual 2.5K Long Distance Swim from Great Sister, a rocky islet off the coast of Antigua, to James Beach.
Among the newcomers was five-year-old Jahlic Edwards, who gave a historic performance, and now equals his female club member, Amy Jarvis who just three years earlier and also at the age of five, was the youngest to complete the swim.
The other swimmers were Robert Auguiste, Jelahni Lloyd, Phyllis Zakers, Christian Henry, Chloe Martin, Jahvin Edwards, Thorin Messiah, Christopher Henry, Darion Skerritt, Owen Martin, Kijorn Harrigan, Tahesia Drew, Jadiel Edwards, and guest swimmers Jamila Johnson and Patmore Watson.
