Antigua St John's - Yachts have begun to arrive in Antigua for Russian Business Sailing Week activities from March 17 to 23.
Organisers are confident that everything is in place, and are looking forward to a great time over the next few days.
The yachts are moored at the Jolly Harbour Marina, just one of the locations that will be buzzing this weekend to accommodate over 200 Russians converging to not only savour the excellent conditions for sailing and partying, but to explore business and investment opportunities.
The elite Russian regatta will be officially opened at the Jolly Beach Resort and Spa, complete with entertainment and fireworks
On March 18 and 20, the focus will be on Jolly Harbour’s Green Zone, where a fish party and awards ceremony will be held, followed by a party at the marina on Jolly Harbour on behalf of the Government of Antigua & Barbuda.
On March 19, Barbuda’s Princess Diana Beach will be the site of a lobster party.
On the 21, the Yacht Club in Falmouth Harbour will host a white party where awards will be distributed to the winners of the third race.
On the 22, the action moves to Nelson Dockyard at the Club Abracadabra, where winners of the fourth race of the season will be awarded.
The curtains fall on March 23 at the Copper and Lumber Restaurant, where special presentations will be made.
The event, also known as Caribbean Sailing Week, is being viewed as the biggest of the winter season for all fans of sailing.
Apart from being provided with the perfect chance to enjoy and discover sailing, organisers say the Business Regatta has also been pegged as a great way to make new business contacts, get to know their colleagues and business partners, and attract media attention to their brand.

Lets eliminate "white"
What we need to get rid of most is over sensitivity. Some people look for trouble where no trouble exists. There are real problems on Antigua. This is not one of them.
Only in Antigua
How Ironic?
Every day there are constant reminders, both subtle and direct, that Antigua & Barbuda in being recolonized by some or other Privateers.
Note the Title: How Ironic rather than How Culturally Insensitive & Insulting. We do it to ourselves all the time.
Heaven Help the Nation Of Antigua & Barbuda.
