Antigua St John's - The highly-anticipated 5th Annual Pigotts Bullets Football Team’s 7-A-Side Football Tournament got underway last Friday night with huge success, as a record number of 21 teams entered the Soccerama and 27 teams registered for the cash prize tournament.

The Soccerama went late into the night, and the youngest team in the competition, “Young, Wild & Free”, comprised of the Pigotts-based youth team, “Future Kings Football Team”, stood tall as the 1st time Soccerama Champions.

The youngsters/Champions defeated several teams including Willikies, soccerama favourite Hustlerz, and three-peat champions Select 7 on their way to the championship.

The Pigotts Sports Club thanked the 27 teams, players, and the hundreds of fans who turned out to support this tournament.

Special thanks went to the sponsors of the 7-A-Side event including: Fitzroy’s Rewinding, Antigua Masonry Products, Cool & Smooth, Tropical Adventures, Harney Motors, Gunthorpes Spring Water, Christos Supermarket, Silver Lining Supermarket, Ken’s Club, Ministry of Public Works, APUA Electricity Department, Four E Distributors, Townhouse Megastore, and all the other supporters of the Pigotts Sports Club.

The tournament continues this Wednesday night, May 16, and on Friday and Saturday night from 6 pm until. Games for this Sunday have been rescheduled due to the hosting of the third Annual Pigotts Family Fun Day starting at 1 pm.

The women’s tournament has been rescheduled for a later date as a result of the conflict with the current ABFA women’s schedule.

A youth tournament is also being planned.
