Antigua Sty john's - Antigua & Barbuda defeated Anguilla by 277 runs on day two of the Leeward Islands Three-day tournament in St. Kitts on Sunday.
Batting first, Antigua & Barbuda scored 352 with captain Sylvester “Bouncing” Joseph scoring 108, Maxwell Georgeson adding 65, Austin Richards Jr. 83, and Mali Richards 47.
Anguilla in reply were dismissed for a paltry 90 runs in 41.1 overs with Anthony “I-Roots” Martin picking up six wickets for just 20 runs.
Justin Athanaze grabbed two wickets for 12 runs.
In the second innings Austin Richards Jr. hit 69, Mali Richards scored 37 and Olando Peters contributed 28 as Antigua & Barbuda declared on 154 for 4 wickets.
Chasing 416 for victory, Anguilla were dismissed for 138 in 51 overs with Athanaze and Rahkeem Cornwall picking up four wickets each.
Lyndel Richards, who scored 20 in the Anguilla first innings, scored 58, Delon Skellekie had 28 and Jovanie scored 26 in a losing cause.
Antigua & Barbuda improved to two wins in as many games and will be looking for another victory in next week’s encounter.
