One of the proud sons of Antigua and Barbuda, Pastor Lester Livingstone Bradford will be elevated to the office of Bishop on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Pilgrim Renaissance Cathedral in Hallelujah Square 1338-44 Broadway in Brooklyn, New York.
The consecration will be held under the auspices of Archbishop Roy Edward Brown of the Pilgrim Assemblies International Inc. (no affiliation to Pilgrim Holiness Church). In his Episcopal appointment, Bishop- Designate Bradford will serve as President of the Foreign Field of Pilgrim Assemblies International Ministries.
Bishop-Designate Bradford is presently the Senior Pastor of Emmanuel Deliverance Temple located at 693 Ralph Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. This congregation is indeed a beacon of hope which provides powerful praise and worship, solid teachings and a wide outreach within the Brooklyn community. As president and founder of Warriors for Christ International Ministries and Be Encouraged Ministries, Bishop-Designate Bradford is known as a powerful prayer warrior who intercedes for the nations. This global intercessor has traveled extensively throughout the world including Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Costa Rica, Panama, Canada, England, Nicaragua, Trinidad, St. Croix, Jamaica, Nevis, St. Kitts, and his home country Antigua and Barbuda conducting national days of prayer and fasting. He catapults nations into higher dimensions of prayer as he challenges the Body of Christ and sinners to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Bishop-Designate Bradford is respected locally and internationally as teacher, mentor to many pastors and author. He has published several books including: "Back to Manhood", "God's Chosen Fast for His Chosen People", "Tools for Survival for Pastors and Leaders", "And the Two Became One" and "Stewardship".
When asked how he feels about his elevation, Bishop-Designate Bradford humbly responded, “It is very important to wait patiently on our ministry. I thank God for His mercy, grace and faithfulness through the years. It is an awesome responsibility to labor in the vineyard, for the harvest is ripe, but the laborers are few. My heart’s cry is for the salvation of my beloved country of birth, Antigua and Barbuda. I will continue to work tirelessly by God’s grace to bring leaders together. I believe that if the church unites, we can change a nation. Not only will I endeavor to work with the churches of Antigua and Barbuda, but I will work with the churches worldwide. I want to see nations turn to God.”
Bishop-Designate Bradford is a member of the Antigua and Barbuda Clergy Council in New York City and the Ecumenical Memorial Task Force for Haiti. He is also a member of the Board of Regents of Christ Life Bible Institute and Seminary (an accredited Bible College in Brooklyn, New York).
