Second Worship Boat Cruise a Success

Antigua St John's - Building on the success of the first gospel worship boat cruise, Continual Praise pulled off yet another yellow-and-white feat on Sunday in the waters just off St John’s.
The event, dubbed "Continual Praise at Sea," was held aboard the Coral Ark.
Chairman Lance Brownfield said the events are part of the church’s efforts to cover costs for the latest gospel album by renowned local artist Junior "Naycha Kid" Edwards.
Naycha Kid was well-known for his contributions to soca music in Antigua before he started singing gospel music.
According to Marketing and PRO Gavin Otto, Continual Praise started four years ago as a radio programme, and has evolved tremendously into an organisation that provides worship and social services.
“It started as a radio programme, now it has evolved into an organisation," Otto said. "These boat cruises are to offset costs of the gospel album of one of the members of Continual Praise."
The first cruise of this kind was held in January, and there are plans for similar events in other islands in the Caribbean.
The four-hour cruises create the experience of a “Church on the Sea” and focus almost entirely on praise and worship. It features music, dance, gift giveaways, and more. At least 120 souls were present on Sunday.
“Continual Praise is the upliftment of God’s people through music, the Word, and any other way that we can help,” Otto said. “It is an experience that you would never want to forget.”
The program is broadcast on Sundays, and is also heard around the world through the online medium UStream.
The cruise saw live performances from at least four gospel artistes.
