Antigua St John's - On Tuesday, a group of residents picketed the recently-constructed Chinese power plant for the third time this month, this time in St John's.
The pickets have grown progressively since the first one was held outside the Chinese Embassy on March 6.
This time, the protestors gathered outside the office of Ambassador David Shoul on Newgate Street.
The group then made its way to High Street, where an incident occurred during which a Chinese store owner allegedly told a customer that he "doesn't like black people".
This statement enraged the protestors, who shouted that Antiguans & Barbudans would no longer support the business.
The group returned to Ambassador Shoul's office, with chants of "Shoul's Toys and Generators," "Shame on David Foul," and "The PM Can't Read" echoing in the city.
Finally, the picketers marched down Market Street with cries of "Shame on China/David Shoul". The protest ended at the statue of Father of the Nation VC Bird.
Random pedestrians joined the picketers in their protest at different points.
