Antigua St. John’s - A security officer attached to the Special Security Service (SSS) is assisting police with their investigations into the shooting of one of his colleagues early on Wednesday morning.
The incident allegedly occurred at Coconut Grove, close to Sandals Grande Antigua in Dickenson Bay.
According to reports reaching Caribarena.com, the victim was shot twice in the head and neck following a confrontation with his attacker over a woman.
Police spokesman William Holder said that when officers arrived on the scene early on Wednesday morning, the victim was still conscious and was able to identify his attacker.
The assailant, who was supposed to have been securing another location in the city, reportedly made his way from his post to confront the victim.
