Antigua St. John’s - Police are appealing to the general public for their assistance in finding two motor vehicles that were reportedly stolen while their owners were attending Carnival celebrations.
A Villa man reported that he parked and secured his 1996 blue Nissan Sentra motor car A3485 on Long Street, in the vicinity of St. John’s Anglican Cathedral around 8 pm on Saturday, and when he returned to the spot around 3:30 am the following morning, it was missing.

The police are investigating robbery report which took place in Gray’s Farm early Sunday morning.
Two men reported that they were walking along Federation Road in the vicinity of an abandoned building, when two armed, masked men held them up at gunpoint and robbed them of their wallets, jewellery and cellular phones. The perpetrators then fled the scene in a westerly direction.
One of the alleged robbers is said to be about 5’ 10” in height, and at the time of the incident was dressed in black clothing, while the other stands about 5’ 7”, and was wearing a grey shirt and black pants. Both are said to be slimly built. The incident took place shortly after 3 am.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
Officers attached to the Police and the Fire Services are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fire in Cashew Hill that completely destroyed the interior of a plywood house.
The owner of the 18 x 26 two-bedroom structure, 42-year-old Orin Paul reported that he awoke from the smell of smoke inside the house, but paid little or no attention to it as he was hustling to get to work.
At the same time, 65-year-old Kingsley Henry, who shared the home with Paul, reported that he was awakened by the heat coming from inside the house and thought the fan had been unplugged. On checking to see whether or not that was the case, he discovered that the house was engulfed in flames.
In exiting the house, Henry suffered minor burns to his face and right hand. He was rushed to the hospital by the Emergency Medical Services, where doctors reported that the injuries were not serious.

Meanwhile, the officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding another fire at a villa in Jolly Harbour early Sunday morning.
It is reported that a portion of one of the bedrooms in a 16 x 32 two-bedroom villa owned by Michael Josiah of Pigotts was slightly damaged during a fire which allegedly started around 5 am Sunday.
The villa was unoccupied during the time of the incident. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
