Antigua St John's - The Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a report of an Attempted Suicide, involving a young woman who is currently a patient at the Mount St. John Medical Center and is receiving medical treatment.
The 25-year-old woman of Parham had to be rushed to the hospital after she allegedly ingested a portion of household bleach and other cleaning agents, along with some unprescribed medication.

Meanwhile, the Police are investigating a report of robbery, where a 44-year-old woman of Fort Road reported that she was robbed of an undisclosed sum of money while walking on Market Street.
It is alleged that while the woman was walking along Market Street, a man dressed in dark clothing snatched her handbag and ran onto New Street, then disappeared in the Ovals Area.
She reported the matter to the police, and Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department promptly responded, and caught a 24-year-old youth of Bendals with the bag in his possession.
He is now in police custody assisting them with their investigations.
The incident took place around 9:40pm on Monday.
Wounding
The Police are investigating two reports of wounding which were associated with Monday’s Labour Day celebrations.
In the first incident a Potters man was treated at the Mount St. Johns Medical Center after he was wounded in his face, while trying to avoid a fight inside a Jam band on Fort Road.
He received a wound to the left side of his face, which doctors reported is serious and needs surgery.
The wound is however not life threatening.
He was later discharged. Investigation into the matter is ongoing.
The incident occurred around 2:30pm on Monday.
In the second incident, a 24-year-old youth of Villa was beaten and stabbed by a group of young men.
It is reported that the youth was walking behind a jam band on Fort Road, in the vicinity of the St. Andrews Anglican Church, when a group of young man ganged up on him, pushed him to the ground and began beating him.
