Consultations-On-National-Land-Use-PlanAntigua St John's - A series of public consultations is planned from August 29 to September 1 to discuss the draft National Physical Development Plan.

They begin at the Museum from 7 pm on August 29, then move to the Multi-Purpose Cultural Centre on August 31, also at 7 pm. Barbuda is the venue for the third session, at noon on September 1, while the final session will be held that night at 7 at the All Saints Secondary School.

Public input is being sought for this draft development plan being undertaken by the Environment Division & the Development Control Authority.

Consultants under the Sustainable Island Resource Management Mechanism in a Small Island Developing State (SIRMM) are expected to present the draft to Cabinet on October 14.

The document is armed with proposals for advancing land use planning in Antigua & Barbuda and delivering a sustainable mechanism for allocation of land resources through an integrated consideration of the social, economic, and environmental infrastructures.

Notes From A Native Son Of The Rock. My friend, the revisions to the first draft have been sent to the Consultants in Trinidad and should be back on Friday, 26th August 2011. Upon receipt, the 2nd Draft will be uploaded to the http//gefantigu a.org website and also the Ministry of Agriculture.
