Stanford Auction This Weekend

Stanford Auction This WeekendAntigua St John's - A massive auction of R Allen Stanford's former possessions is planned for this weekend. Two months after the Texan's conviction, the Houston warehouse was said to look like an Indiana Jones scene.

A significant portion of the items was furniture from Stanford Financial offices.

With no minimum bid, auctioneers have said everything must go.

This reportedly includes a baby grand piano, exercise balls, and a $310,000 grandfather clock.

Sounds like you have quite a franchise idea there! You should open up next to KFC!

I'd 'go long on cockles and widdy bush' any minute of the hour and every hour of the day in preference to the greasy junk your lot stuff yourselves with that makes you look and think like bloated bipeds. Unfortunately this crap, to put it mildly, is now being foistered on the peoples of the Caribbean with all its attendant illnesses. Cockles, yes please! Had some a while ago and they were absolutely delicious, no chemicals added, just as natural as could be, straight from the sea. Pity about the widdy widdy, in scarce supply nowadays, more's the pity. I wonder if it's the diet of cockles and widdy widdy that make us have so many living centenarians. Read these pages and other outlets to see how we show up yet another centenarian ever so often. None of your chemically induced gunge entered their stomachs; the oldest is 110 years old. Long may they continue to live and long live the wondrous cockle and the mighty widdy widdy bush. This wholesome food is not for simpletons and **s such as the likes of you; think about it!!!

Our little so-called country is OURS not anyone else's. Some misguided politicians have been selling it off for peanuts and I'm very pleased to say that the flow has now been stemmed. A few individuals seem to have a big hang-up with our little so-called country as they like to put it; is this a matter of envy or for some other reason? Since some don't like it here why not pack up and depart permanently? This little piece of land belongs to Antiguans and as the saying goes, 'good things come in small packages', so nip off and take a shower and vent your spleen elsewhere!

Actually, not many know what they are talking about. I have read each trial transcript and know exactly what is in the warehouse. His personal accounts and money have nothing to do with anything at this point. In fact, the reciever was able to get the $330M from his SocGen personal accounts to help with the estate. Fact check before you post.

Im not sure what you're referring to, I don't have my own blog, I do however post comments on this news site. Is that what you mean?

As for where I stand, Has Sir Allen been charged in Antigua? Cort? Bird? Spencer? King? Apparently once (or twice, or dozens) isn't enough. Your little so- called "country" needs to step up, or face the reality of failing to do so.

Unfortunately, the wine and furnishing from the Pavillion will not be for sale because they were compulsorily acquired by Sir Allen's personal xxxxxx.
