Antigua St John's - The management of the Central Marketing Corporation (CMC) will meet with several agro-products trades, wholesalers, and supermarket representatives to cement export opportunities between Antigua & Barbuda and the United States Virgin Islands.
General Manager Dalma Hill said the process, which began last year, has been ongoing. Antigua & Barbuda has since exported a variety of produce to St Croix.
Hill said the focus will be on primary agricultural produce, and value added or processed products.
Eight commodities were identified for the export market - pineapples, sweet potatoes, carrots, sweet peppers, cherry tomatoes, pumpkin, sweet peppers, and onions.
Meanwhile, CMC is currently developing its blended green seasonings, hot peppers, and jellies.
Arts and craft are possible areas of export development, Hill said.
