We are getting there Mr Frederick. Been priced out.The pay checks are now fighting to meet the next mts end.To me thats a pathetic way to live. The article mentioned that sofas/TV are been increased,i suggest that is not so for other places. A flat screen TV which once were sold for $1000usd is now been sold for just about $400 in the US/St martin.Infact i purchased a 32inch for a mere $299in the US,here its $3000,the only way that can be realized is through Taxes. As for food, this goes to this and all Govt,s,why should we pay taxes on food? Even you pay a minimal charge for import it should be just that, why are we been taxed for foods that we do not even grow here, food should not be a commodity where only the rich can full a basket, that should not be happening in any modern society, this is ridiculous.

I wonder by what percentage did wages and salary go up or perhaps I should say go down. If this trend continue, then Antiguans will soon be priced out of purchasing the basic food necessities. The UPP will continue to blame it on the world economic crisis and continue to fail in finding solutions.
