Antigua St John's- The Terpsichorean Dance School of Antigua competed in the 8th Annual Caribbean Regional Dance Classics competition at the Sir Garfield Sobers Gymnasium in Barbados on Saturday, October 29.
Five couples left Antigua with high hopes, and when the night was through, their expectations had been fulfilled, with five first-place standings and two second place.
In the Adults Beginner Category, Antigua was represented by two couples - Clint Spencer and Gaye Ann Persid, and Mark Giles and Candia Stephens, who placed first and second, respectively.
This was the third consecutive year Antigua has held the two top positions in this division, beating out competitors from Barbados, and Trinidad & Tobago. Giles and Stephens also took home the second place trophy for the Adult Beginner Latin category.
In the Adults Novice category, Clive Duncan and Callie Frisell took home the first place trophies in both the Latin and Ballroom divisions, while Colin Hodge and Beverly Jacobs took home the first place trophies for the Adult Masters Ballroom and Latin categories.
