Antigua St John's - The Lions association has celebrated the largest event in its 95-year history, celebrating the induction of record numbers of new members in ceremonies around the world for Lions Worldwide Induction Day.
In Antigua, five new members were inducted into the Antigua Lions Club at a special ceremony held at the Lions Den in conjunction with the international activities of Lions Clubs International. They are Gerard Shoul, Gerard Croft, Alan Hosam, Bernard Baptiste, and Denfield Roberts."
According to Lion Lenox Looby, club president, “Lions Worldwide Induction Day was successful for many reasons. “As Lions clubs members, we are dedicated to serving the community,” said Looby. “Here in Antigua, we wanted to share our spirit of volunteerism and that of our mission, 'We Serve,' with our newest members so that they would feel the pride of what it means to be a Lion.”
