Antigua St John's - Wadadli Style is preparing to host Antigua's first Moms Got Talent show. The event, the brainchild of Desiree George, is a talent show that will feature 10 mothers between the ages of 18-99 years, participating in three segments - Best Dressed Mom, Question and Answer, and Performing Talent.
There will also be an award for a mother who has done something exceptional that has made a difference in our society.
The show will be held on Mothers' Day, Sunday May 13, at the Simon Boulevard Centre at 7 pm.
Early bird tickets are on sale for $30, and will be available at the door for $35. They can be obtained by calling 789-1569.
According to George, Moms Got Talent has great potential, and will be an annual Mothers' Day event.
"Many mothers, because they have borne a child, are of the opinion that they can no longer enter talent competitions, George said, "as some of the criteria for some shows are that are you cannot be a mother and you cannot be married.
Moms Got Talent has now broken the glass ceiling, and has now made the dreams of many mothers a reality."
