Antigua St John's - New designs for the aJeanté Cruise Collection, Spring – Summer 2012, were recently launched in Antigua at Cocobay Resort’s Sunset Pool grand opening.

The resort’s new infinity pool and deck area, overlooking Ffryes Beach, one of the most picturesque beaches in Antigua, set the perfect backdrop for aJeanté’s new collection.

With inspiration from the natural beauty of Caribbean beaches where aJeanté’s fashion designer, Jean-Marie Thomas, spends most of her time sketching, this collection is a true representation of chic Caribbean fashion.

High quality, lightweight, natural fabrics were carefully selected to compliment the easy-breezy, soft, flowing silhouettes. aJeanté Cruise Collection sets the perfect laid mood and comfort for vacation, whether the setting is in a dining room, the pool, a day on the beach, a night out, or a romantic island beach wedding.

Although Thomas is involved in other areas of the fashion industry, and designs other collections under the aJeanté label, the Cruise Collection is the one that she is most passionate about.

The Cruise Collection is a collection designed exclusively for Caribbean resorts. Thomas has 19 years of experience in resort fashion. In earlier years, her involvement took the form of modelling for resort boutiques. However, within the past 13 years, she has been designing resort wear.

During this period, she has had the opportunity to showcase her creativity in at least 70 percent of the resorts in Antigua.
