A Firmer Face For Free

Eva Fraser 80   photo: telegraph.coAs the environment, time and gravity take a toll on your face, most people are constantly taken up with finding that anti-aging, anti-wrinkle remedy to prevent them from ending up with slack, baggy, and tired-looking faces.

In spite of all the advertisements in the media about products promising quick fixes and solutions, one sure non-surgical, inexpensive, and long-lasting way to improve your overall appearance, and stimulate your blood flow and circulation is through engaging in facial exercises.

Here are a few facial exercises that will not only relieve tension, but tighten your facial muscles and promote smooth, glowing, wrinkle-free and youthful skin:

1.    Relax your facial muscles – open your mouth as wide as you possibly can, feeling your cheek, your chin and your lips stretch to the limits. Hold for a minute and repeat several times.

2.    To firm up your lips – suck on your finger as hard as you can then remove it. Do this 10 to 12 times.

3.    Stimulate the blood circulation in your face by pinching your cheeks with your hands and gently squeezing for a minute. Repeat several times.

4.    Push down on your cheeks with your fingers, then smile as hard as you can to exercise the cheek muscles.

5.    Breathe out hard through your nostrils while flaring them; hold that flare and repeat 10 to 15 times.

6.    With your eyes closed, look up and down as far and fast as you can.

7.    To tone your brow muscles, raise your eyebrows and hold for 30 seconds, release, and repeat 10 times.

8.    With your head tilted back and face toward the ceiling, move and hold your bottom lip over your top lip as far and for as long as possible. Then repeat several times.

9.    Imagine that you are gargling mouthwash inside your mouth. With lips together, swish from side to side non-stop for a minute, relax and repeat 10 times.


10.    Sitting straight on a chair, push your chin down towards your chest as hard as you can, bring it back up and repeat. You can place a tennis ball or small exercise ball on your chest under your chin, and squeeze.  This will help to tone up your neck muscles and help either prevent or eliminate a double chin.

These facial exercises are easy, take only a few minutes of your time per day, will cost you nothing and will help you achieve a more youthful appearance.
