In a previous article here on Caribarena, the AG indicated that he gave up earning power to become the AG. Now he has a chance to be off the public dole and increase his earnings. I applaud him.

The reshuffling is like going to the headmaster’s office and getting a spanking with a wet noodle. Furthermore, the reshuffling is nothing more than moving the pile of dirt from one place to another. The dirt is still the same.

What is needed is new untainted blood with a vision, leadership skills and the ability to work with the opposition to bring about what is in the best interest of the island and not what is in the best interest of the politicians. The good people of Antigua deserve better.

Cort for AG? You cannot be serious! This man is alleged to be involved in the Stanford debacle and is involved in a pending lawsuit. For him, then , to become the AG is like having the fox guard the hen house. He will have privy to all information regarding himself and will be able to take evasive action. Wouldn’t this be the same thing Leroy King is accused of?

Still No Money

Want to sensitize the public that EMS workers are considering strike actions once again. They still have not received a dime of their risk allowance which was promised about 2 months. I wonder if they do strike again what the nation would think this time around.
What really is it with this PS? What does he have over our governing body that they can't do what is right by these men and women who continue to risk their lives daily? What secret does he hold that his action go on noticed? :-*

The IMF is in trouble. The leader is in problems with the law, in NYC! Do we want these kind of people, running our economy? This is a very destructive organization, whose only objective, is to destroy progressive World Economies! Seeking economical "help" from the IMF, is the worst move the present Antiguan Government could make. PaPa Bird warned us; so why are we so stupid, to think that these **s can bail us out, of this political dilemma? Mr. Spencer; wake up! Politics is serious; It is not a game. Ask The Labour Party to help you out! Like Lord Boldface said; If you no know, you just no know! Antiguan people are hungry! Like Bob Marley said; A hungry mob, is an angry mob! Please deliver, what you promised in 2004!

Cool Ruler what would you call MP Lovell, did he not join the UPP via the ACLM's merge with that entity? I just find it interesting that we insist that parties stay as third parties yet when it comes time to vote, we in general go for one of the major parties. Isn't or wasn't the speaker of the lower house a member of the OND?

In the second to last paragraph the writer states that "2004 elections appeared to go smoothly because the Jamaicans were there hand-holding the entire process" Is this person going out of his/her way to show up the incompetence of the supervisor of elections, by showing that she needs hand-holding in order for her to get it right?

The writer also states that the staff "cannot do anything without being told, they have no special roles, duties, NOTHING!!!!" Does the person who manages the day-to-day operation have prepared job descriptions for the staff.
And if the elections did not go right because of "poor management, POOR leadership and POOR supervision, then who are the people that fall into these categories of (poor Manager, POOR Leader, POOR supervisor).

In paragraph two the writer states that "The day-to-day operation of the office is managed by the Supervisor of elections". If this is the case, how can the responsibility of 'one man operation' in the job description of the Database manager be placed at the feet of that manager. The supervisor of elections as the office manager, should take responsibility for not putting together a proper organization structure.
