Antigua St. John's - Five officers attached to the Citizens Welfare Division in the Ministry of Health, Social Transformation, Consumer Affairs and Local Government will be recognized by the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church for their outstanding contributions to the community.
Chief Welfare Officer Cindy Price, Acting Principal Probation Officer Alethea Byers, Deputy Chief Welfare Officer Ava-Maria Thomas, Manager of Government’s Residential Assistance and Care for the Elderly (GRACE) Programme, Brenda Bennett and Chief Welfare Aide Carlstein Quinland will be honoured today during Sabbath School’s Community Guest Relations Day at St. John’s SDA Church.
Pastor Wayne Knowles of South Leewards Mission said this year’s focus is on those officers who provide services to the general citizenry of all walks of life.
Meanwhile, Minister of Health, Social Transformation, Consumer Affairs and Local Government Willmoth Daniel and Parliamentary Secretary Senator Malaka Parker issued a joint statement congratulating the various heads of department for their exemplary work.
