Antigua St John's - Representatives of the National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) learned more about WebEOC, a planned web-based information management system, during a workshop last Friday at the National Office of Disaster Services (NODS).
WebEOC is designed to aid decision-making by providing authorized users with real time information in a user friendly format. It provides a single access point for the collection and dissemination of emergency or event related information.
Information Technology Manager at the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) Seon Levius facilitated the one-day workshop.
He said WebEOC has great potential, and seeks to strengthen and facilitate CDEMA’s ability to manage emergency operations through a more co-ordinated and easily accessed system.

They all look confused - I'm not surprised - on reading the explanation of
WebEOC.
All on computers during a hurricane then?
Someone is red thumbing all criticism - especially of fiscal policies.
