Over the years we heard Obsti and Shorty sing against all INJUSTICE ! Shorty sing against BLUE and RED , Obsti sing same way and CALL NAME !! Swallow NEVER sing about NOTHING POLITICAL cause he na rock da boat. NO GUTS,NO SPINE ! Obsti deserve that title more than he. A DONE TALK TO YOU !!!!!

Me lub me some King Obstinate bad! Faamileeeee!!!! !!! Two of my favorite tunes are "Who Kill Me Sister" & " I Will Always Come Back to You". But reflecting on the latter song led me to wonder if his selling out of his Antigua flag and moved abroad will have prevent him from ever getting the (Sir) like Swallow and the Monarch. But if Alan Stanford can get the (Sir), then why not The Undefeated. I'm sure you all saw that Alan Sanford is now DEFEATED. Me nar pay that none mind because, "It's Children Mellee`". However, I saw the same tone that most of the comments referenced about the letter. I believe your face, Obsti, is like a "chip-up rim" and how deep you went into the "bottom of the well" to write that letter. But live long Obsti; We still love you because you have embedded into the culture and have entertained up to the fullest. You are one of the greatest ever so don't start none Cussing on Green Bay Hill and don't get "Shiny Eyes" from the comments toward your letter.

Including the first Antiguan born Calypso King in 1958, the first A&B professional Calysonian performing regionally and internationally . The first Antiguan calypsonian to receive regional and international recognition and awards. The first A&B calypsonian to record on wax. ( I was first! Me! Not you and Short Shirt, ME)

I love King Obstinate just as much as I do the other Calypsonians in A & B, and though his letter was thoughtful and meant to be congratulatory to Sir Rupert Philo (KING SWALLOW), half of it is I, I, I. I did this, I did that, and of course, the title Undefeated King was mentioned a couple of times. Is there a cryptic message here? By the way, why is it that Obsti hasn't been Knighted yet?
