Antigua St John's - One of the featured highlights of the annual Independence celebrations, the CIBC First Caribbean International Bank National Festival of Choirs, was held Tuesday evening at the Holy Family Cathedral.
The event featured 15 choirs from across the nation.
The audience joined the choirs in singing a number of patriotic songs, including, Our Land is Great; I Vow to Thee my Country; God Bless Antigua; Birthday of the Nation; and Come Let Us Join our Cheerful Songs.
This year's participants were: The Holy Family Cathedral Choir, The Moravian Mass Choir, The Potters Youth Group, Men’s Chorus, The Antigua and Barbuda Chorale, The Antigua Community Players, Expression, The St Peters Anglican Senior choir, The National Choir of Antigua and Barbuda, The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda Choir, Sanctuary, The New Bethel SDA Church Praise Team, The Tyrell’s Roman Catholic Choir, The St John’s Cathedral Choir, and The National Youth Choir of Antigua and Barbuda.
CIBC First caribbean International Bank Country Manager Michael Spencer said, “Our sponsorship of this event is in keeping with our theme of supporting community relations here in Antigua & Barbuda.
