Education Minister Returns to Staff Antigua St. Joh's - Minister of Education Dr Jacqui Quinn-Leandro paid a visit on Monday to members of staff at her ministry’s headquarters.

It was the first visit back to the office for Dr Quinn-Leandro since announcing in December that she was battling breast cancer. She has been receiving chemotherapy treatment overseas.

As she made the rounds, employees expressed delight at seeing her, and inquired about her health.

The minister said her treatment is rigid, and has its side effects, but she is continuing the fight. She also noted that she is only halfway through, and will be going back to the United States soon for continued treatment.

Her visit to the headquarters of the Ministry of Education followed the adjournment of the House of Representatives, which she attended.
