Youth Department to Host Community Meeting in Bolans

Antigua St. John’s – Residents of the Bolans community will receive information about the Community Youth Development Initiative (CYDi) during a meeting set for Tuesday, June 26 at Bolans Primary School.

The meeting starts at 7 pm and its host, the Department of Youth Affairs (DYA), will seek to sell the CYDi, an initiative that seeks to mobilise youths to work collectively to transform their communities, to the residents of Bolans and its environs.

According to a release, this initiative is research based and is built on the principles of Positive Youth Development.

With respect to the introduction of the CYDi, the Bolans Community is the first stop for the National Co-ordinating Committee. Already, the team has met with various stakeholders and has received much support for the initiative.

The Department of Youth Affairs is therefore inviting all those who live in or interact with the Bolans Community to attend this important meeting.
