The Rodney Heights Aquatic Center (RHAC) 13th Invitational Club Meet came to a successful conclusion over the weekend 30th March to 2nd April 2012 with five national records and fourteen national Age Group Records being established by over 250 competitive swimmers from 15 Swim Clubs from around the Caribbean.

With swimmers from Barbados, Antigua, Grenada, St Vincent and St Lucia in competition, this year’s meet proved to cement the event as one of the premier swim events for the eastern Caribbean just prior to the CARIFTA games. The younger swimmers dominated the meet as the most clubs sent their predominantly younger age groups to give them the regional exposure to swimming at this level. It was also a test of endurance as the swimmers began competition from the Thursday evening to the Sunday afternoon.

The meet was attended by 15 clubs from the 5 Caribbean islands and was characterized by excellent competition, efficient organization and a large crowd attendance supporting the swimmers and the sport.

Antigua Aquatic Club captured the top club spot for the first time with an overall solid performance with 1429 points and St Lucias Racers raced to second place with 1167 points and Sharks swim club third with 1067 points. Antigua Aquatic Club again demonstrated their power in the juniors with the young swimmers helping them to the win.

    The team standings were

    1 Antigua Aquatic Club - 1,429

    2 Racers Swim Club 1,167
