Antigua St John's - Two charitable organisations and several elderly residents in Potters received detergents and cleaning products under Sparkling Detergents' annual Community Outreach Programme.
The Fiennes Institute received donations for the second time, while Clareview Mental Hospital was added to the company’s list. The latest donations were part of the local detergent manufacturing company’s community outreach initiative.
On Friday, the institutions received bleach, dish liquid, and soap powder, as well as Christmas greetings cards. Several elderly members of the community also benefitted from the distribution.
Since the company opened last July, it has also launched yard cleaning and bulk waste removal programmes that benefit the less fortunate, as well as trucking pipe-borne water to them.
Dr Terry-Ann Joseph thanked the company on behalf of Clareview's residents. She said, “This donation was very timely.
We are appreciative of this gesture from Sparkling Detergents for considering giving back to Clareview Mental Hospital and the persons that society often forgets.”

Re Detergent Company Donates to Community
This is a great initiative. I agree we should rally local companies like these and support them. I can attest the product is great, highly concentrated and has a fresh fragrance....Go od Job happy to know that although Sparkling is the cheapest detergent on the shelves they are giving back to the community....Go od Job Mr. Benta and your team over there in Potters.
