Have Your Cake and Eat it..With CTV

New channels addedAntigua St John's - Today’s consumers are far more particular about what they spend their disposable income on. Most consumers often research their choices and compare the products/prices with competitive offerings. Increasingly, their focus is on adding value.

The downturn in the economy has resulted in a paradigm shift in the entertainment sector. It has become quite costly for couples or families to dine out, go to parties/clubs, or travel, resulting in home entertainment becoming increasingly popular. It is not uncommon to see families having movie nights, games nights, or dinner and a movie with friends on a weekend in the comfort of their own homes.

It is for this reason that CTV has decided to employ effective measures to focus on customer satisfaction, and local service. Listening to our customers is imperative if we are to provide them with the best possible cable TV service.

Contrary to the popular saying “you cannot have your cake and eat it,’” at CTV we offer you the opportunity to “have your cake and eat it too.” Our research has shown that our consumers are watching more TV and are asking for more movie and kids channels.

In response, we have decided to increase the value of our digital basic package by introducing new channels. This customized solution is flexible and affordable, and will meet the varied needs of all our consumers at no additional cost.

“When our customers are relaxing around the house, we’re bringing them a huge selection of great viewing for the whole family,” said Sharon Green, marketing consultant with CTV.  “We will continue to give our customers access to the entertainment they want, where and when they want it.”

Effective today, the new channel lineup in the basic package will include two additional movie channels - an Independent Film Channel  (IFC CH 572) and Encore Mystery (CH 544), and one additional kids channel - Disney XD (CH 112).

We now have 13 movie channels and 10 kids/family channels in the basic package for only $92/month. Finding the perfect cable provider could turn out to be a piece of cake.

CTV’s culture is visionary, collaborative, and inventive. We will continue to listen, and provide our customers with the latest products and IT advancements while maintaining high levels of customer service and support.

CTV did not wake up and think we wonderful customers should get new more exciting channels based on our viewing history, they've lost the right to transmit Turner stations. Why not just be honest from the beginning. Oh what a tangled web you weave when first you practice to deceive. Karib Cable here I come!

Tenman be glad you now have Karib. When we had no choice you just had tot take what you get. I have CTV and had my issues, but now I wonder if this new development is not a breach of the contract of channels I signed up for. I am a frequent viewer of CNN and now ill not be able to do so. Channels are sometimes just taken out without notice to customers or adjustment to your bill. Is there any link here to ABIB management. I wonder?

So you lose the right to broadcast the backbone channels of any cable tv network and instead of explaning yourself to your customers ..you instead bamboozle them with slogans about 'having your cake and eating it'????? Another news outlet just reported that CTV will not be able to broadcast CNN, TNT, CNN Headline News, Turner Classic Movies, Cartoon Network, Boomerang and truTV, the rights being given to Karib cable. Dont we your customers deserve to know why?????

I recall before 2004 going to CTV offices in order to get the service, I was informed that receivers were not available and that I should check back in a few months. After 2004, a few years after they were taken, I went again and was told the same thing. I then went to Karibcable and had the service installed within a week. Companies like CTV are the architect of their own eventual demise.
