Antigua St John's - LIAT has labelled a news report on the Antigua-based Observer Radio on Friday, stating that its engineers had walked off the job, as inaccurate.
Corporate Communications Manager Desmond Brown said the airline’s engineers were not involved in the two-day work stoppage by some ground staff earlier this week, neither have they been engaged in any form of protest since then.
“LIAT’s engineers continue to act responsibly, and are currently at work supporting the operations of the company,” he said.
Brown also explained that LIAT employees were due to be paid on June 30, and not the 28 as stated in the Observer Radio news item.
